Preserve
Usable work and business investment.
Replan
Scope, cost, resources, and milestones.
Deliver
With governance and evidence of progress.
You know there is a problem. You need a way forward.
Another missed date. Unfinished work. Tests that fail. Leadership no longer confident in the route to go-live.
Project Rescue is a hands-on delivery engagement. Magnetic establishes the true starting point and assumes the responsibilities we agree to deliver, from transition through recovery and operational readiness.
01
Your project has stalled or stopped.
02
Confidence in the implementation partner has broken down.

A deliberately focused Dynamics consulting firm.
We help organizations implement, recover, optimize, and support Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
Senior functional and technical consultants bring 10+ years of Microsoft experience. We connect the solution to business outcomes and configure before customizing.
Our value in a rescue: preserve useful investment, avoid unnecessary rebuilding, and make the remaining commitment credible.
Experienced people do the work, with founder accountability and clear escalation. The recovery plan defines who owns delivery, what the client must provide, and how progress will be validated.
Understand what you have. Complete the work that matters.
01 / Establish — The true starting point
Secure access and knowledge. Validate completed, unfinished, and untested work against business needs.
02 / Preserve — The useful investment
Decide what to retain, correct, rebuild, or investigate further using demonstrations and acceptance evidence.
03 / Replan — A credible commitment
Agree essential scope, remaining cost, resources, dependencies, and achievable milestones.
04 / Execute — Accountable delivery
Complete the agreed work through testing, readiness, go-live, and stabilization.
A troubled project does not mean starting over.
Work already completed may still have value. We validate it before deciding what to change.
Business fit, solution quality, tests, and data reconciliation guide the decision. Unverified work stays visible as an unknown until the evidence supports acceptance.
Scope that no longer serves the essential business outcome can be deferred or removed with client approval.
Retain
Usable work that meets agreed acceptance criteria.
Correct
Useful work with defined gaps worth fixing.
Rebuild
Work that is unsuitable or uneconomic to repair.
Validate further
Work with insufficient evidence or access.
What a rescue can look like.
A stopped program has configured finance processes, partially built integrations, and unverified data conversion.
Illustrative scenario only. Not a client case study or a promised outcome.
Finance processes — Test before replacing
Demonstrate the existing configuration and retain the work that meets the business requirements.
Integrations — Correct the gaps
Validate design and complete bounded corrections, with interface and exception testing.
Data and delivery — Reset the path to readiness
Replan conversion cycles and dependencies. Establish owners, reconciliation criteria, and funded delivery commitments.
A new plan needs a stronger way of delivering.
Leadership sees what is complete, what is at risk, and what must happen before the next milestone.
Gates: Design → Testing and data → Go-live readiness → Stabilization. Each gate has agreed acceptance criteria. Magnetic reports the evidence and recommends readiness; the client sponsor approves go-live and accepts remaining risk.
Ownership and escalation
Named owners, decision deadlines, and executive escalation when commitments slip.
Weekly progress evidence
Accepted deliverables, milestone progress, risks, decisions, and forecast changes.
Controlled scope and gates
Approve cost and schedule impacts before adding work. Require evidence before passing major milestones.
A controlled first step. A more reliable recovery estimate.
You can authorize an initial engagement before committing to the full recovery. That work establishes control and validates the broader plan.
Timing follows the evidence. The 2–3 weeks is a target for the first validated baseline, not a promise to complete the rescue. Complex programs or poor access can require longer. Initial scope, capacity, and investment are agreed before work begins.
1. Initial discovery — Agree the first scope and spending cap
Discuss the situation and review available information. Provide a preliminary rough order of magnitude estimate for the broader rescue only where the evidence supports it, with assumptions and exclusions.
2. Initial validation — Target 2–3 weeks for the first baseline
Inspect inherited work, establish governance, and begin agreed urgent corrections. This is part of taking delivery responsibility.
3. Recovery baseline — Approve the detailed plan and estimate
Review remaining work, resources, schedule, and cost, with unresolved unknowns made explicit. Agree the commitment before broader execution.
4. Delivery — Execute and validate progress
Deliver against the approved plan with weekly evidence, forecast updates, and readiness gates under change control.

Frequently asked questions
Will Magnetic take over delivery?
Yes. Project Rescue assumes a new delivery arrangement. We define the work Magnetic takes responsibility for, the transition requirements, and the responsibilities that remain with the client or other providers.
Do we have to replace everything already built?
No. We inspect and test inherited work to determine what is usable, what needs correction, and what requires rebuilding. The aim is to preserve justified investment.
Can you quote the whole rescue immediately?
A responsible estimate depends on the inherited work and remaining scope. We first agree a bounded initial engagement. A preliminary ROM is a range with assumptions, followed by a more detailed estimate once the baseline is validated.
What do you need from our team?
An executive sponsor, access to essential assets and project records, and available workstream owners. Client teams remain accountable for business decisions, data ownership, user participation, and operational readiness.
Does the previous partner need to participate?
Handover can help recover assets and knowledge where authorized and available. We identify access gaps and dependencies before committing to the affected work.
What if we only need an independent diagnosis?
The Project Health & Recovery Assessment provides a focused diagnosis and recommendations. Project Rescue takes responsibility for agreed delivery and execution.
Can you guarantee our go-live date?
The recovery plan follows validated work and readiness evidence. We do not guarantee a date or outcome before understanding the work. Sometimes a deliberate delay is the right decision to protect operations.
